The NFL trade deadline is just over three weeks away.  There already plenty of rumors of potential players on the move around the league.  The New Orleans Saints have been among the teams most discussed as a possible seller at the deadline.  Chris Olave is the first name that comes to mind because of the Steelers needs at reciever.  There’s another name who just might fit what the Steelers want to do on offense a whole lot better.  We’re predicting the Steelers trade target: Alvin Kamara.  https://www.profootballnetwork.com/alvin-kamara-saints-trade-landing-spots-2025/

Kamara would be perfect fit for what the Steelers offense has become.  Pittsburgh wants to run the football, and use the short passing game as much as possible.  Alvin Kamara is among one of the best receivers out of the backfield in recent NFL history.  He would give Aaron Rodgers a dependable short area receiver, who still has the juice to make things happen after the catch.  Even at his age (30), Kamara remains one of the better playmakers in the league.  This is a player who could be used a a multifunctional chess piece, not just a running back.  He has just under 500 career snaps in the slot, along with several more out wide.  In total, Kamara has nearly 6,000 career receiving yards to go along with his 7,000 yards rushing.

Kamara is still a functional back, averaging 3.9 yards per carry on a very bad Saints offense.  The Saints star could help fill the void left by the disappointing Kaleb Johnson, while providing an upgrade in the slot. Right now the Steelers have very little production from the slot receiver position.  With the rest of the NFL chasing receiver help at the deadline, Kamara can be a sneaky comprise to help the passing game.

This type of deal should not cost the Steelers much in terms of compensation.  Kamara is now an over 30 back whose best years are clearly behind him.  More valuable in the short term to a contending team than a long term solution for anyone’s backfield needs.  This probably costs a 4th round pick on the high side, and probably just a day three pick at the end of the day,  Alvin Kamara solves a lot of what this offense needs.  Don’t be surprised if he is a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers come November 4th.
