The calendar reads April 1st today, that means we have entered the home stretch for the NFL Draft. It also means it is time for the third edition of our Steelers mock draft series. We have been tracking all the players the Steelers have met with throughout the process to get a better feel for who the team may draft. Steelers meeting tracker
To spice things up, I’ve thrown in a trade. In this mock the Steelers send linebacker Patrick Queen, and pick 21 to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for pick number 12:
Round 1 (12): Vega Ioane G – Penn State

Vega Iaone is THE best offensive lineman in this class. Some have gone as far as to say he is a generational talent at the position. This is a player who would complete the Steelers offensive line rebuild in a big way. Guard is not usually a position drafted this high, but in Vega Ioane’s case he is very much worth it. If the plan is to get this team ready for a quarterback in 2027, what better way than ti solidify the offensive line for the next decade.
Round 2 (53): Keionte Scott CB – Miami

The Steelers secondary is missing one vital piece depending on where you think Jalen Ramsey is lining up. Slot corner is very much a position of need, and the best player at that position is Miami Hurricane Keionte Scott. Scott ran a blazing 4.33/40 at his pro day further solidifying his draft stock. This is a player who is comfortable in the box, and an excellent blitzer as well. Scott had 5 sacks in 2025, to go along with 2 interceptions returned for touchdowns. There is even some punt return in his bag from the Auburn days for Scott.
Round 3a (76): Anthony Hill Jr. LB – Texas

Now that we traded Patrick Queen, the Steelers are going to need a linebacker. Anthony Hill Jr offers a lot of the same skillset as Queen. A rangy linebacker with plus physical traits. Hill is a little smaller than you’d like at 6’2″, 238 pounds, but scored a 9.81 RAS. He posted 31 TFLs, 17 sacks, and 8 forced fumbles in his career at Texas. This is a three down impact player who could slide right into the hole left by trading Patrick Queen.
Round 3b (85): De’Zhaun Stribling WR – Ole Miss

Can’t leave day two without at least one wide receiver for the Steelers. De’Zhaun Stribling is a sneaky good prospect for this late in the draft. Stribling ran a 4.37/40 at 6’2 and 207 pounds. He averaged 15 ypc, with 6 touchdowns at Ole Miss last season. The Steelers have made it known they want bigger players for AFC North football. They get a decent bit of size here, without sacrificing some elite speed.
Round 3c (99): Bud Clark S TCU

Free safety is another key need for the Steelers defense given that Jaquan Brisker’s best spot is at strong safety. Clark got our attention at the Senior Bowl where he was a standout. Then he tested exrtemley well at the combine running a 4.41/40. Throw all that in with a player who has 15 career interceptions at TCU and you have yourself a pretty capable free safety here in the third round.
Round 4a (121): Chris McClellan DT – Missouri

Chris McClellan certainly fit the mold of what the Steelers like in their defensive tackles. He is 6’4, 313 pounds with 34″ arms, all boxes checked to be a Steelers DT. McClellan has 6 sacks, and 8 TFLs for Missouri in 2025. This would be a perfect depth piece with some upside along the Steelers defensive line.
Round 4b (135): Oscar Delp TE – Georgia

It’s tough to pin down where Oscar Delp will go in the NFL Draft. He tested off the charts at the Georgia pro day. Delp registered a 9.84 RAS at 6’5, and 245 pounds. The lack of production in college may drag him down however. Delp only managed 20 receptions for 261 yards, and one touchdown in 2025. Given the stateof Georgia’s offense, and quarterback play in particular, there may be a whole lot more to Delp’s game at the next level.
Round 5(161): Taylen Green QB: Arkansas

The Steelers have done their fair share of work on this quarterback class. This includes having Taylen Green in for a pre-draft visit this past week. If you are going to make a dart throw on a quarterback, why not take one on one of the the most athletic quarterbacks ever to test at the combine. Green put up freaky athletic numbers including a sub 4.4/40 time. Green has a canon arm to go along with all that athleticism as well. There’s a lot to clean up with his footwork and decision making, but traits like this are hard to ignore.
Round 6 (216): Kendrick Law WR: Kentucky

With 12 picks in this draft, we expect the Steelers to double dip at receiver. Kendrick Law is a guy the team has shown interest in, having him in for a predraft visit. Law is an excellent athlete scoring a lofty 9.6 RAS. He played equal amounts in the slot as the outside in his last year at Kentucky. There is also punt return ability in the versatile player.
Rond 7a (224): Domani Jackson CB – Alabama

Solid three year starter at Alabama, Domani Jackson also had some pretty good tape. He is a plus athlete with a 9.0 RAS at 6 1/2″ 205 pounds.
Round 7b (230): Travis Burke OT – Memphis

Travis Burke is a massive (6’5?325lbs) tackle prospect out of Memphis. He recently came to Pittsburgh for a pre-draft visit, making him a likely late round flyer for the team.
Round 7c (237): Logan Fano EDGE – Utah

We all know how much the Steelers love a good bloodlines story. Logan Fano is the brother of Spencer Fano, a first round tackle prospect. This Fano is a 6’5/260 pound edge with 10.5 career sacks at Utah. Fano will have to make his living on special teams early on to make the roster.
